Created by Martin Buchan, illuminati design evolved from his love of SFX in movies, photography and artwork. After 10 years playing guitar in the ‘biz’, Martin became interested in photographic manipulation using darkroom techniques, montage and retouching. Imagery became prevalent, and inspired by great book cover illustrators like Vargas, Chris Foss, Chris Moore and Jim Burns, the airbrush became the tool of choice.

After illustrating more than 200 book covers, a new force was emerging as the inspiration for creating the next stage in his career. ....Photoshop.

This program made all the work that had been created before come together in a complete circle. Now it could be created in one virtual space.

Not content with just the execution of artwork , illuminati design was born and the company moved into creating for print. Quark Xpress, inDesign, illustrator and industry standard software help layout  books, magazines,  corporate stationery, flyers, posters, record and video covers, labels and promotional material for a wealth of clients.
